I was in Rome the week of Jan 16, 2010 and found lots of sales. I’m not much of a shopper but the 30 – 50% off sales were pretty great. All the clothing and linen stores had good sales. An added benefit: the clothing is unique and cannot be found in the USA. I’m going back next year with more Euros.
