    1. Villa Celemontana
Europe’s longest running jazz festival opened last week at the Villa
Celemontana near the Baths of Caracalla. The festival combines music
with art exhibits, theater and presentations. It’s a pleasant way to
spend a summer evening out of doors in a lovely garden. This week’s
highlight: Rita Marcotulli, Palle Danielsson, Peter Erskine, play
piano, bass and drums on Wednesday, June 20. Gates to the villa open
at 9 pm, concerts begin at 10.
Be prepared to queue for tickets. On-line bookings do not work!

    2. For Jazz in Rome also check out the Casa del Jazz, impressive place pearched in the green of Roma.
