We would most definitely recommend this apartment. The location is excellent. We appreciated the suggestions and hints that were provided. The view over the river is absolutely wonderful, although there is noise from the traffic. The rooms are spacious, uncluttered and airy. There is a lovely courtyard at the back of the apartment as well. The bedroom, fortunately, is on the quiet side of the apartment. It has ample space for suitcases and clothing. The bed is extremely comfortable, which is very welcome. The kitchen has most of the things that you need, but there are some gaps. Italians are not regular tea-drinkers, so there is no kettle even though a kettle was on the list of contents. There were two 1-cup espresso makers, but one of them has a missing handle, so we could not use that one. Otherwise it is well-equipped. There were other missing items on the list of contents. Apparently there should have been a radio, but we could not find one. This did not bother us as we were out most of the time. There is an excellent supply of hot water and the shower is good. The contents list says that there is soap, shampoo, etc. There was only shower gel, so if you are particular about shampoo and conditioner, bring your own. At the sink there was a dispenser for liquid soap. There was very little left, and it had been heavily diluted with water rather than replaced. We replaced it ourselves. These are small details which are easily rectified. Finally, there was some confusion over the telephone numbers that were provided in the e-mail. The numbers were written in the format assuming that customers bring their own mobile (cell) phone. We did not do that. We bought a local phone card and tried to use it with a public phone. We understood that we should leave out the 00 international code, but we were not sure which codes to use after that, as there is the country code and then the city code. Because of the confusion we had difficulty getting through to the numbers. So it would help if the e-mail gave two different formats for the numbers: one for an international mobile (cell) phone, and one for local use. Despite the minor criticisms, we would have no hesitation in booking again.
